Music, the motive force of my life – Dabu

Music is the motive force of my life. Music helps me endure the military service and live a happy life. I’m sure it will be the motive force for me to keep the enjoyable life going too.

To be the best through music and have a cool and rich life! I will focus on creating mixtape and album in the future. Also I plan to be more active in musical performance.

 

Q: Hello, please give us a brief introduction of yourself.

Hello, I’m Dabu (Han - Suyong) from Songtan Gyeonggi-do. I’m a rapper of Dattack Team.

 

Q: Is there any special meaning of your stage name?

The name came from a movie called Cool. I think the guy called Dabu in that movie has some similarities with me. By the way, Andre 3000 played the role of the Dabu in that movie.  (giggle)

 

Q: what made you decide to start doing music?

I got into the Nanta club by chance and met some really cool friends in my first year of high school. Although I left the club later but I made team with those friends and started our music journey.

 

Q: As an artist, what’s your keyword or goal?

To be the best with my own style!

 

Q: As an artist, what’s your dream?

I want my songs get into most people’s music playlist.

 

Q: what’s the most memorable moment so far?

We had a big party in front of US troop’s coronation when we graduated from high school. Though we just started for a while, that was a very happy moment in my life which can’t be forgotten.

 

Q: When were most excited moment and the most difficult time?

When I was singing in the stage, I saw all the audience hands up and cheering for us. At those thrilling moments, I felt the hard working is all worth. (Smile)

I felt it very difficult when we started at the beginning; we lost a lot of performance opportunities because we didn’t have experiences. That was the most tiring period, both physically and mentally.

 

Q: Is there any artist you want to collaborate with in the future?

In Korea, The Quiett. In the world, Wiz Khalifa! I want to make killingtrack in the song with them.
