When I firstly start music, I practiced songs of ‘Toy’ and ‘Yeon-woo Kim’. The songwriter ‘Hee-yeol Yoo’ of course composed a good song, but my Idol was Yeon-woo Kim who sang it very well. I am more focused on writing songs rather than singing. I want to be a pro-artist like ‘Sang Yoon’, and ‘Hyung-seok Kim’.

Hello, I am Bong-kwan Seo, a singer-songwriter, who is a bit embarrassed to be call as a musician. There is no special schedule right now, but I am continuously working on composing songs of my own these days. My goal is to release first album in the second half of this year

I started music with a very simple reason. I had a chance to sing a song on the stage of the school festival, and gained indescribable joy and response from public audience. Those made me to start music.

When I firstly start music, I practiced songs of ‘Toy’ and ‘Yeon-woo Kim’. The songwriter ‘Hee-yeol Yoo’ of course composed a good song, but my Idol was Yeon-woo Kim who sang it very well. I am more focused on writing songs rather than singing. I want to be a pro-artist like ‘Sang Yoon’, and ‘Hyung-seok Kim’.

I had hard time singing with a thought ‘I am vocalist’. My vocal skill was not improved as much as I thought, and was desperately disappointed in myself. After me discharged from the army, I started to study how to compose songs. My happiest moment was that I stand in front of my parents and public audience with my own songs. 

Honestly, I am a bit embarrassed if someone calls me as composer (smile). I think a lot of things before go to sleep; whenever new melody line and lyric comes up to my mind, I sit in front of my computer and start to work on for it. Whenever I write lyric, I do find unread books and SAS to discover old stories. There is no special place for me to get inspirations from, because I don’t like crowded and noisy places.

I mostly have ballad songs from 90s in my playlist, but these days I listen to dance music often. I didn’t like dance genre before, but my favorite songwriter ‘Sang Yoon’ wrote [Ah-Choo] of Lovelyz’s. I just love how the melody of the song sticks to my ears. Also, I often listen to a song named [I was just by your side] from 90s. Many people might know of it.

My dream is to release single albums monthly like publishing magazines. I thought of this idea after I learn how to write the song, but could not process it yet(smile). Also, my other plan is to do a storytelling project like artist [Patdoo], with creating fairytale or novel. I really want to do it so much.

‘Great Success’. Not only mentioning success in financial matter, but also to be success as an artist that the song with my story can be heard on the street and public audience can sing along of my song.

It still is my romantic dream. I feel like there is no end to it whenever I study of the music. In these days, I think ‘I should try my best of every areas of studies’ 

I want to be a celebrity when I was teenager and early 20s, and now I am doing music for different goal. However, my final goal ‘to show my own story’ to the world hasn’t changed. I will do my best to achieve my romantic dream. Cheers to myself!
