Q. Please introduce
yourself briefly.
Hello. I am a
music director Ji PyeongKwon. I made my debut as a singer with the song
"Farewell near the Window". Since then, I¡¯ve been a composer and
director at Daesung Planning (now DSP) and Pan Ent, and have been working as a
drama/film/music director.
Q. How did your
music get started?
All of my
family members were musicians so it was natural for me to become one. I enjoyed
playing piano and then decided on majoring classic instrument which is French
horn.
Q. Where do you get
inspiration from when you work on your music?
I get
inspiration from different fantasies every day, in other words, the sensibility
I receive from my body.
Q. What do you care
most about when you work with music?
Creativity and
Emotions. When I was a child, I focused on emotions of the people around me but
since I started to play video music my own creativity and sensitivity have
become my most important points.
Q. What is the
difference between the previous album and this album?
When previous
albums expressed my emotions in a given task, this album expresses my emotions for
100% of my will.
Q. Please tell me
about this album.
Sad romance
(Sad violin) has been re-created as the music of various forms and genres by
singing the previously announced world-famous violin music. Lyrics are written
as stories in which both sadness and joy are experienced through the meaning of
the love that people experience as they live.
Q. Do you have any
special points on the live stage?
Since I mainly
conduct in the orchestra, I try to keep up with the members and deliver the
songs well.
Q. What genres and
musical traits do you want to challenge in the future?
In the future,
I will make music with my own sensitivity only to other emotions coming up
every day without distinction of the genre.
Q. Which country do
you want to enter?
Europe and
Japan.
Q. Please let me
know about your future plans.
In the future,
I would like to be able to communicate with music fans not only in Korea but
also around the world.
Q. Do you have any
songs you want to recommend?
Ai OST (John
Williams) End Credits, Schindler's List OST, and Cinema Paradiso.
Q. Are there
activities or areas of interest other than music?
I am interested
in movies, TV series, and sports.
